Stuffed turkey with mushrooms & nuts

Ingredients (for 10 servings)

  • 1 turkey: 5kg

For the marinade:

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 5-6 tβsp. honey
  • 1 ½ tsp. grated fresh sage
  • 1 ½ tsp. fresh rosemary
  • 1 tsp. sweet paprika
  • salt and pepper

For the filling:

  • 1 package of fresh mushrooms
  • 250 gr. yoghurt
  • 1 cup of grated walnuts
  • ½ cup of hardtack
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tbsp lemon squash

How to do

  1. One day before bake the turkey, put it in the pan where it will be cooked, stir it well with all the ingredients of the marinade (oil, honey, sage, rosemary, paprika, salt and pepper). Then brush it thoroughly with a brush, in and out and from all sides.
  2. Mix all the ingredients of the filling (chopped mushrooms, yogurt, nut, hardtack, egg, lemon juice). Fill the turkey with them and sew it in order to hold all ingredients.
  3. Place it in the oven at 180 degrees of C, to be cooked. During the baking, turn it and stir it with the marinade (which exists in the pan as a broth), three times.
