Burgers with saffron and bacon

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Waiting: 1 ½ hours

Cooking: 10 minutes

Ingredients for 8 people



1) 350 gr. ground beef (flank)

2) 350 gr. ground pork

3) 50 gr. bacon

4) 1 egg, lightly beaten

5) 2 slices bread (without crust) drenched in milk

6) 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

7) 1 pinch saffron

8) 1/4 cup red wine

9) 2 lettuce leaves, chopped

10) 2 tbsp chopped parsley

11) 1 tbsp fresh grated cumin

12) 1 tbsp fresh ginger powder

13) 1 tsp soy sauce

14) salt, pepper


How to do:

1) Put the saffron in the wine for half an hour.

2) Finely chop the bacon.

3) Transfer all ingredients in a bowl (not metal) and mix well by hand. Cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for half an hour. Then, remove it from the fridge and start making burgers.

4) Place them on a tray with baking paper, cover them and put them in the fridge again for half an hour. Bake them on the grill, or in the oven or in a pan (lightly floured).
