Crème brûlée with orange and cream

Preparation time: 60 minutes

Ingredients for 6 people


1. 6 large egg yolks

2. 1/3 cup of  sugar

3. 2 cups of milk cream

4. 2 tsp orange zest

5. 3 tbsp orange liqueur

6. 6 tbsp brown sugar

How to do:

1. Preheat oven to 150 ° C.

2. We will need 6 refractory ramekins for crème brûlée. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar in a mixer for 6-7 minutes, until they reach the pale yellow color and creamy texture. Then, add the cream, the zest and the liqueur.

3. Place the refractory bowls in a baking pan and hand out equally the cream. Add boiling water into the baking pan until the middle of the bowl and put it in the oven. Bake for about 40 minutes, so as when you touch the center of the cream, its surface to tremble slightly but it not wane.

4. Remove the bowl from the baking panand let them cool to room temperature. Then put them in the fridge for at least 2 hours (they kept up to 3 days).

5. Before serving, sprinkle each crème brûlée with 1 tbsp sugar (preferably brown because it caramelize better) and burn with burner or, if we have not one, place them under strong grill with the oven door open for a few minutes until the sugar bubbles.
