Mastic cookies


  • 250 gr. of butter
  • beaten eggs
  • 550 gr. of flour
  • a bit of mastic powder
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup of warm milk
  • 3/4 cup of sugar

For the frosting:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp water



How to do

Beat well butter until it becomes white. Add the sugar and continue to beat well. Add the eggs and when the mixture is fluffy, alternately put the flour, which we already shuffle with the baking powder and the milk.

When the mixture is a pliable dough, make cookies to the shape of your choice and place them in a buttered pan. Beat the egg yolks with water and brush the cookies with it. Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 15′ – 20‘.
